Performing the basic double foot jump, cross the rope in front of the body on the first jump and then uncross the arms on the second jump. Ensure the hands are kept at hip level with the rope handles pointing out to the sides and not down toward the floor. You will have a dominant side and therefore a tendency to cross the same arm in front or back each time. Once you master the jump, change the position of the arms with each crossover: right arm in front of left arm, and left arm in front of right arm. Work up to performing continuous crossovers, travelling forward and backward.
